小野和子 『あいたくて　ききたくて　旅にでる』 | Ono Kazuko

これまで50年にわたり東北の村々を訪ね、民話を乞うてきた民話採訪者・小野和子の初の単著。
採訪の旅日記を軸に、聞かせてもらった民話、手紙、文献などさまざまな性質の
テキストを旅で得た実感とともに編んだ全18話と、小野の姿勢に共鳴してきた若手表現者-濱口竜介（映画監督）、瀬尾夏美（アーティスト）、志賀理江子（写真家）
の寄稿がおさめられている。
表紙や本中には写真家・志賀が東北で撮りおろした写真を掲載。
一字一字を精密に美しく組んだデザイナー・大西正一によるデザインワークや
モノクローム１色の制約から生まれる多様な印刷再現、静謐な造本設計も魅力
のひとつ。

"I want to see you, I want to hear you, I'm going on a journey"

This is the first solo publication by Ono Kazuko, a folktale researcher
who has been visiting villages in Tohoku for the past 50 years, collecting
folktales.

The book consists of a total of 18 stories, woven around the diary of her research journey, as well as various texts of different natures, including
the folktales Ono was told, letters, and literature. It also includes
contributions from young artists - Hamaguchi Ryusuke (film director),
Seo Natsumi (artist), and Shiga Rieko (photographer), who resonate with
Ono's approach.

The cover and interior of the book feature photographs taken by the
photographer Shiga Rieko in Tohoku. The design work by designer Onishi Masakazu meticulously and beautifully arranges each letter, while the
monochromatic constraint adds to the diverse printing reproduction,
making it one of the book's appealing aspects. The serene bookbinding
design is also another highlight.
